VidGo ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

VidGo does not require account creation, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers.

• Video links you submit: when you paste a video URL and request a download, that URL is sent to our backend server solely to retrieve the video you asked for. It is not linked to any personal identity and is not sold or used for advertising.
• Clipboard access: if "Auto Detect Link" is enabled in Settings, the app checks your clipboard for a video link to suggest pasting it. This happens only on your device and clipboard content is never transmitted anywhere.
• Downloaded videos and history: videos you download, along with their title, thumbnail, and other metadata, are stored locally on your device only (not on our servers). Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes this data.
• Gallery/Media Library permission: if you choose to save a video to your device's Gallery, the app requests permission to write video files there. We only request access to save videos, not to browse or read your existing photos or videos.
• We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs, and we do not collect device identifiers or location data.

2. How We Use Information

Information handled by the app is used solely to provide its core function: letting you preview and download videos you choose to request.

3. Sharing of Information

To fetch a video you request, our backend server communicates with the relevant third-party platform (for example YouTube, TikTok, or other supported services) to retrieve publicly available video data. We do not sell personal data or share it with advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Video files are temporarily processed on our backend server during a download and are automatically deleted shortly afterward. Your downloaded videos and history live locally on your own device for as long as you keep them there.

5. Third-Party Content

Videos downloaded through VidGo originate from third-party platforms. We do not host, own, or control this content, and are not responsible for the practices or content of those platforms.

6. Children's Privacy

VidGo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your Choices

You can disable clipboard detection at any time in Settings, and you can delete any downloaded video or clear your entire history from within the app.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
